The role
What the job actually involves.
Our Newcastle static FM team provides mechanical maintenance, reactive fault diagnosis and plant cover across a major commercial estate in the region. Joining an established site team, you will keep technical standards high, response times quick, and communication with facilities managers and building occupants clear.
You will take full technical ownership of all static mechanical plant and building services assets on site. Day to day that means inspecting, servicing and repairing pumps, air handling units, fan coil units, calorifiers, expansion vessels, pipework and mechanical drives, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, handling breakdown calls, and supporting specialist subcontractors during major plant overhauls.
Within six months you will know the site's plant rooms well, have strong daily working relationships with the static team, and be the go-to engineer for mechanical reliability on site. The role is open because of contract expansion and site investment across our Newcastle static operations.
