What the job actually involves.

Our North East facilities management team provides operational leadership, statutory compliance oversight and total FM delivery across a prestigious commercial, education and public sector estate in County Durham. Joining the regional management team, you will keep service standards high, financial control tight, and communication with client stakeholders and site occupants clear.

You will take full operational, technical and financial ownership of your Durham property portfolio. Day to day that means managing site based FM supervisors, internal engineering teams and specialist subcontractors to keep gas, electrical, asbestos, legionella and fire safety compliance tight, overseeing CAFM helpdesk performance against SLAs, managing revenue budgets and variation quotes, and leading minor capital projects.

Within six months you will know every site, asset and key client contact across your portfolio, have firm control over planned maintenance and compliance schedules, and keep margins healthy. The role is open because of contract expansion and new site acquisitions across County Durham.

What we are looking for

• Level 4 or 5 IWFM or equivalent in facilities management or building services, with IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate
• Proven track record as a facilities manager or senior operational lead on multi-site commercial, education or healthcare estates with a £1m plus operational budget and hard and soft FM contractors
• Proactive and resilient, strong client facing communication, good financial acumen and a hands-on approach

Package

• Salary £42,000 to £48,000 per annum depending on experience
• Company car or car allowance of £4,500 to £5,000 with fuel card
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
