The role
What the job actually involves.
Our Northumberland operational team leads facilities management, hard services compliance and capital asset management across a diverse public sector and commercial estate. Joining the regional senior leadership team, you will hold overall accountability for site safety, statutory compliance, budget health and asset lifecycle management across the county.
You will take full operational, technical and financial ownership of the Northumberland property portfolio. Day to day that means managing site based FM supervisors, mobile maintenance teams and specialist subcontractors to keep gas, electrical, asbestos, legionella and fire safety compliance tight, leading capital projects and minor works, managing CAFM helpdesk performance against SLAs, and controlling contract P&L, forward maintenance plans and energy initiatives.
Within six months you will know every key site, asset condition report and stakeholder across the estate, have full control of compliance and maintenance schedules, and a trusted relationship with client leadership. The role is open because of estate expansion and investment across Northumberland.
